From House of Mercy The days of winter come as a blanket of snow to the midwest. The chill wind keeps me indoors where it is warm. I love to look out the picture window after a snow storm. The trees are all covered in white, and the world looks so clean and fresh. I remember loving winter when I was young. There was a free ice skating rink a block away from the house. The hills were full of children on sleds including myself. The free rink is no longer there and the children need to have an adult with them to go sleding. The free and easy life of my youth is gone, but the wisdom of age stays forever. I will be adding all of the gifts I get for Christmas to this page. Please take this gift from me to you.
